Who am i?

Hello!
I'm Charlotte and I'm a celebrant and ceremony holder based in Goring on Thames.

As far back as I can remember, I have been asked to speak. In school I was the narrator, in pubs I was the quizmaster and as we got older, people started asking me to be their wedding Celebrant. I was holding ceremonies well before I qualified with the Humanists, as many people so kindly wanted me to hold their weddings for them.

I decided to train to hone my craft, and now have the honour of holding ceremony professionally for many folk nationwide.

When I am not marrying folk, I am a Diversity and Inclusion consultant and public speaker, and everything I do involves assessment of what has been, and thinking about how to make it better, kinder, more fun. I love ritual and ceremony and am passionate about how we can make it our own.

That has lead me here. My aim is to create ceremony spaces that are radically inclusive, loving and above all, joyful. Your ceremony should be about you, about what you believe and how you want to represent that. I'm here to make that happen.

My Beliefs
Although your ceremony will be built around what you value and hold true, I thought I might take a minute to tell you about what resonates with me.

I believe deeply in community and connection. I believe in the power of marking love, each other and our life's milestones. I believe that lots of our historical rituals can be outdated or exclusionary, but ritual itself is essential, and this is why I am such a strong proponent of making it work for us!

When I am not working, you might find me singing with my natural voices choir, or hosting a community science and singing intiative called 'Sunday Assembly' (check it out, its joyful). I try to engage with my community in every way I can, as it brings me joy and I think connection is the key to a life well lived.
